The Jane Goodall Institute South Africa is pleased to announce that members of the public can attend one of two talks by Jane Goodall at the University of Cape Town on the 6th February 2014 and at the University of Witwatersrand on the 7th February 2014. Scroll down for more information.

VICE-CHANCELLOR’S OPEN LECTURE

The Vice-Chancellor of the University of Cape Town, Dr Max Price, invites students, staff and members of the public to attend the Vice-Chancellor’s Open Lecture with:

Dr Jane Goodall, DBE

TOPIC:
"The Life and Times of Dr Jane Goodall – in celebration of her 80th year"

Date: Thursday, 6 February 2014
Venue: Baxter Concert Hall, Baxter Theatre Centre, Main Road, Rondebosch
Time: 19:00 – Doors open at 18:00 (Guests to be seated by 18:45)

Tickets: Tickets are free and will only be available on a first-come-first-served basis, due to limited seating in the Baxter Concert Hall. Tickets may only be collected in person from the Box Office at the Baxter Theatre Centre. The tickets will not be available at any other Computicket outlet, nor online. A maximum of two tickets can be collected per person. There will be no reservations of tickets. Tickets can be collected from the Baxter Computicket Office on Tuesday, 4 Feb 2014 from 09:00 to 17:00 only. Thereafter no further tickets will be made availble.

This event will also be live streamed from the UCT website at www.uct.ac.za/

The JGISA will also have the new limited-edition fundraising Relate bracelets, celebrating the birthdays of Dr Goodall, Thabu our youngest chimp, 1 year old and Joao our oldest chimp at an estimated 70 years old!

Bracelets will be on sale at R40 at the event at the Wits Great Hall on 7th February 2014.
